A dynamic DNS record is a method of keeping a domain name linked to an IP address that is subject to change, as not all computers use static IP addresses. In general, when a user connects to the Internet, the user's ISP assigns an unused IP address from a pool of IP addresses, and this address is used only for the duration of that specific connection. Our dynamic DNS service allows you to use a client that runs on your computer, automatically contacting us each time the IP address provided by your ISP changes and subsequently updating the DNS database to reflect the change in your IP address. In this way, even though a domain name's IP address will change often, other users do not have to know the changed IP address to connect with your computer and services you may provide.
If you used or want to use dynamic DNS, please login to your account on the new platform, click the "Manage DNS records and nameservers" button. There, make sure you select the "Our nameservers & DNS" tab and define the dynamic DNS records as dynamic DNS records (you'll need to add the new records that you'll update via dynamic DNS and specify a password for each).
To dynamically update the Dynamic DNS host, you need to call the following HTTP APIs:
https://dynamicdns.key-systems.net/update.php?hostname=hostname&password=password&ip=auto
https://dynamicdns.key-systems.net/update.php?hostname=hostname&password=password&ip=213.4.7.1&mx=213.4.7.1
